The effects of anti-wrinkle injections typically last between 3 to 6 months. The longevity of the treatment can vary depending on factors such as the individual's metabolism, the amount and location of the injections, and the strength of the treated muscles. It's important to note that the frequency and timing of repeat treatments may vary depending on individual factors.

Most people experience only mild discomfort during anti-wrinkle injections, which are typically well-tolerated. The treatment involves injecting a very fine needle directly into the targeted facial muscles, and some people may feel a slight pinching or stinging sensation at the injection site. However, the pain is generally brief and mild, and the procedure is usually quick, lasting only a few minutes. In some cases, a topical anaesthetic cream or ice pack may be applied to the skin before the injections to help minimise any discomfort.

To prepare for your for anti-wrinkle injections, there are several steps you can take, including avoiding excessive sun exposure in the treatment area two weeks prior to treatment. One week before treatment, it is recommended to avoid medications and supplements that can thin the blood, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, omega fatty acids, and vitamin E. In the five days leading up to your treatment, it is advised to avoid skincare products containing AHA's, vitamin A (retinol), enzymes, or scrubs, and not to exfoliate, wax or remove hair from the treatment area for three days. It is also important to stay hydrated and avoid alcohol two days before treatment and to arrive at your appointment without wearing any makeup, skincare lotions or SPF.
